Logic Pro X Melodic House Template

For Episode 104 our host Mikas make a melodic house song using Logic Pro X, we first setup the BPM to 124 BPM and we will use a chord progression and some minimal drums we previously prepared.

We first listen to the chords, then decide to experiment with changing the chord progression without much success. We move on to creating a bassline with the key progression from the chords we started the song with.

Inspiration strikes and we decide to use real instruments, we start with a tuba and then add some strings. We then add our usual arpeggiator using retro synth and the same chords as we began the song with.

Moving on we program some drums and set up our sidechaining channel in Logic Pro X. We then add the sidechain to some elements of the mix. Continuing pricing this song we add an organ layer to add richness to the mid low frequency and enhance the groove. Afterward we record some melodies and set them up in the mix.

We then improvise and decide to add a grungy brass pad that will add yet more layered sound to this rich deep melodic house piece.

We complete this session by recording and designing a main lead in the form of a bell sound.
