Tribal House Logic Pro X Template + Free Tutorial | Live Electronic Music 022
How to make Tribal House Music | Live Electronic Music Tutorial 022
In episode 22 we create a Tribal House music Track using only single shot drums triggered with MIDI. They are all produced with Logic Pro X Drum Machine designer and processed and mixed in individual channels for better control. Learn to program and mix tribal drums by downloading the Logic Pro X Template.
We kick off this session by setting up the DAW at 128 BPM and the refresh rate to 96000Khz. Afterward we record a simple kick drum in the usual 4/4 flavour, then we immediately start programing tribal drums by building patterns and matching them with drum sounds that are incontext of the session. We us some hits, toms, conga and other drums and shuffle the patterns to create a convincing tribal house feel.
Next element of choice, the bassline, we will compose ann impactful yes simple bass melody that will complement the drum without overpowering them. After the MIDI is recorded we browse the synth patch and select something appropriate to fit the current music production session. We then create a second channel with an identical MIDI sequence and try to double the bass to create more depth, we then route them so an individual buss for summing and compression purpose, sadly the operation is aborted and we use only a single bassline in the end.
To further enhance the track we then add high pitched strings to create a moody element to the song, we then sidechain them to add a pumping effect to the part. Next, we create a simple chord pattern using the same key and element as the bassline to keep on building this tribal house music production session.
