Progressive Breaks Logic Pro X Template | EDM Sessions EP105

In episode 105 we produce a progressive melodic breakbeats song in logic pro x. We start the session from scratch after we setup the BPM to 128BPM.

We begin by programming the basic drums for a breakbeats track. We do so using Logic Pro X Drum Machine Designer, as always we separate each element so we can properly mix the track as we build it up. Then we decide to import some instrument from logic pro x, the instrument includes the MIDI and instrument setting. We then replicate the midi and use our own instrument. We will eventually layer the acoustic bass with synth one.

We then add percussion so we can build the groove and record our own melodies and parts. It is now time to record some synths and layer the sounds to create rich layers to our track. Then we go back to the beat and add drums so the groove is building up at the same time as the melodies.

Of course we also have to record the obvious Main Lead Sound! First try yielding something interesting worthy of keeping, we then edit the MIDI and move on to the next part. Adding yet more drums to reinforce the existing parts.

Last but not least we record a guitar sounding lead that completes this song well.
